Solution D2 was fed on the chip 1 of the 11-07-05 set. The lasfer was focused on the cantilever #4.
One of the substrates prepared yesterday was employed. It was cleaned by ultrasonication in ethanol for 12 minutes followed by oxygen plasma.
This chip was used for an experiment conducted on 11/07/05 in order to pattern diamon nanoparticles only. The ensuing SEM inspection showed patterned particles on a gold substrate. An oxide substrate was tried as well, but with some reasons, no patterns were made on that substrate.
Experimental conditions are as follows.
- 3x3 [16, 8, 4s], dot pitch 3 => 4x4 @ (-40, 40); 79°F, 88%
- 3x3 [8, 4, 2s], dot pitch 3 => 4x4 @ (5, 40); 79°F, 88%
- 3x3 [16, 4, 4s], dot pitch 3 => 4x4 @ (5, -5); 79°F, 89%
The cantilevers seemed to be dyed to show redish color all over the surface of the cantilevers except for #1 (partially dyed; no color at the 1/3 portion from the tip) and #10-12 (whole cantilever was not dyed).
Seemingly landing dots were observed for cantilevers #3 and 4 on the screen.
