The experiment was successful. The connector to the pins for the chip holder was fixed to the lid, which at last closed. The input signal from the AUX2 was tested with false engagement. The head pin that sends signal to the AUX2 port was grounded, which should not give anything on the scope. However, there was repetitive signal patterns with peaks and valleys. The whole electrical connections had to be redone as well as the grounding of the stage, which had been electrically floating.
