Glycerol

  • Mix with H2O.
  • For protein storage, we use 20% ~ 50%. 20% resists freezing at -20 °C, 50% at -70 °C.
  • For cell membrane disruption and simultaneous preservation and most cellular components (protein, DNA). We incubate in 20% at -20 °C for 2 hours ~ overnight.

TX-100

  • Suspending MWCNTs. 0.5% TX-100/H2O or PBS. Worked very well. 1% is also fine.
  • May sonicate.
  • Stock x20 "viscous". 10% TX-100 (4 °C)

Antibody

  • Primary Ab: Goat anti-Human VIM IgG.
  • Secondary Ab: Gold (10 nm)-Rabbit anti-Goat IgG.
  • 1:50 in PBS.
  • If necessary, can mix glycerol (~5%).
  • Gentle pipetting to avoid forming bubbles.
